Scope of these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern use of the Arcivue website and the television compatibility enquiry available through it. The site provides information about the possibility of refreshing the smart experience of an existing television by considering an external streaming device, and it allows a visitor to submit details so that a suitable next step can be discussed.
Submitting the compatibility form is a request for information and review. It is not, by itself, an order for goods, a payment instruction or confirmation that a particular product will be supplied. Any later purchase, delivery or service arrangement should be based on the specific information presented at that stage.
Using the website and submitting an enquiry
You should provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. If you are unsure of a technical detail, the form allows you to indicate that rather than guessing. You should not submit information that belongs to another person unless you have authority to do so, and you should not use the website in a way that interferes with its security, availability or normal operation.
The compatibility process is intended for genuine enquiries relating to a television setup. The usefulness of a response depends on the quality and completeness of the information supplied, including the television's ports, resolution, age, network access and the functions the user expects to improve.
Compatibility information and limitations
Compatibility depends on multiple elements that can change from one setup to another. These may include the television model, input standards, display capabilities, network quality, power availability, other connected equipment, software versions, app support, regional service availability and third-party subscription requirements.
A compatibility response is therefore guidance based on the information available at the time. It should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every feature, application, picture format or service will operate in every circumstance. Where a feature is important to you, it should be verified against the relevant television and device specifications before a purchase decision is made.
Any later order or purchase
If a product is offered after the compatibility discussion, the important details of that transaction — including the product, total price, delivery information and any applicable conditions — should be provided before the customer becomes bound by the purchase. The website's free compatibility form does not itself collect payment or complete a product order.
Where a consumer contract is entered into at a distance, mandatory UK consumer rights continue to apply. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or reduce rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights relating to goods that are faulty, not as described or not fit for their intended purpose.
Third-party services and content
A streaming device can provide access to third-party applications, subscriptions and content services. Those services are controlled by their respective providers and may change their availability, technical requirements, pricing, account rules or supported devices. Arcivue does not control those third-party decisions.
References to common technologies such as HDMI, Wi-Fi, 4K or HDR are descriptive of compatibility considerations. They do not mean that every television or device supports every version or feature associated with those technologies.
Responsibility and reasonable use
We take reasonable care to present the website clearly and to base a compatibility discussion on the information supplied. However, the site cannot replace manufacturer documentation, an in-person hardware inspection or technical testing where those are required to resolve a specific issue.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to mandatory consumer law, we are not responsible for losses caused by information supplied incorrectly by the user, changes made by third-party app or service providers, internet service limitations, or use of equipment in a way that is inconsistent with the relevant manufacturer's instructions.
Website availability and changes
The website may be updated to improve content, forms, security or compatibility guidance. Sections may be changed, suspended or withdrawn where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security or business operation. We do not promise that every feature of the website will be continuously available without interruption.
These Terms may also be updated to reflect changes in the service or applicable law. The version displayed on the site applies to website use from the time it is made available, while rights and obligations attached to a completed consumer transaction remain subject to the terms and law applicable to that transaction.
Applicable law and contact
These Terms are intended to operate consistently with applicable law in the United Kingdom. Consumers may have rights to bring claims in the courts available to them under mandatory consumer-protection and jurisdiction rules. Nothing here is intended to prevent a consumer from relying on rights that the law makes mandatory.
